Successful!

I downloaded the vista last night for about an hour w/o interruption. I then burned the iso file to dvd for about 15 minutes. Then I installed the Vista and it took about an hour to finish. The installation process restarted twice only and then voila! It worked! I didn't run into trouble or anything during installation and setup.
The
only thing is it didn't find some of the drivers for some of my hardwares (quite few actually so I'm happy). But I'm surprise Vista didn't have driver support for my HP printer.
Anyway, I'm off to learning this Vista to see if it's any good at all. There is one thing I noticed though, I hope I don't get in trouble by saying this but the Vista looks almost like the current MAC OS X!!!
Mac - Gidget = Vista - Gidget Mac - Dashboard = Vista - Sidebar Mac - Spotlight = Vista - Instant search and etc...
hmmmm..... go see the Apple website and you'll see what I mean. Anyway, i still like the windows!
I hope I don't run into any trouble in this Vista. Wish me luck!

I wish you luck! :o)

There are going to be a LOT of HP printers and scanners that will not work with Vista. At least till HP gets off their behinds and FINALLY codes some recent drivers instead of using the ancient ones that they've been using for years now.

HP should be OK on these products by the time Vista releases. I am an XP Pro x64 user and HP has been pretty good in either developing an x64 driver or a base driver that will enable a printer to perform at least essential printing functions. They have been way ahead of Canon in this regard.
